Tennessee rocking chair, attributed to Richard (Dick) Poyner school of chairmakers. Arched maple slats and maple arms with round hand rests, hickory stretchers and rockers. Pegged construction. 42" H x 23"W x 33"D. Provenance: descended in the Maury family of Williamson County, TN. Condition: Missing part of left seat rail, small split at left arm handrest, small hole at right hand rest. Seat needs re-weaving. Scattered abrasions; animal chew to left front rocker.
