Lucien Delarue (France, 1925-2011) oil on canvas Impressionist maritime painting titled "Port de Cagnes" depicting colorful boats and houses in and around the harbor of Cagnes-sur-Mer, a French Riviera town in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region of southeastern France. Rendered in a gestural manner with areas of heavy impasto throughout. Signed "Delarue," lower right. Handwritten title with additional artist's signature en verso of canvas. Housed in a giltwood frame with off-white linen liner. Canvas: 13 1/2" H x 16" W. Frame: 18 3/4" H x 21 3/4" W.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee Collection.
