East Tennessee Federal walnut chest, poplar secondary, having four graduated drawers, shaped apron and flared feet. 39 1/2" H x 37" W x 15 1/4" D. Circa 1840. Provenance: Found in Tazwell, TN. Condition: Old refinish. Repairs to top lip and right side of top drawer, small patch to second drawer, drawer sides and supports reworked, old splice repairs to back foot facings. Missing hardware and later Victorian escutcheons.
