Victorian rosewood sewing box, rectangular, inlaid with mother of pearl circular and line inlay. Contents include a small circular ivory box, 3 ivory netting needles/bodkins, a mauchlineware needlecase depicting Hampton Park Palace and enclosing an ivory bobkin and 5 needles, a mauchlineware bank depicting Albert House Derby, a parquetry treenware darning egg, a plain treen darning egg and clamp, and a treenware covered bowl. Box 4"H x 11-1/2"W x 8-1/2"D. Mid to late 19th century. Condition: Box interior has lost its lining and has shrinkage crack to bottom and top, and a few scattered water stains and areas of wear to exterior. Other items in good condition with expected wear.
