58 pieces Whiting Louis XV pattern sterling silver flatware, including 5 dinner knives; 8 dinner forks (7 1/2" L); 8 large individual solid fish/salad forks (7 1/2" L); 1 five o'clock spoon; 5 dessert/oval soup spoons; 8 tablespoons; 12 ice cream forks with faint gilt wash; 1 olive fork; 9 individual fish knives; and 1 large pie knife. Most pieces monogrammed with Art Deco style "FS" or script "N", five o'clock spoon inscribed "Rebecca". 83.795 total weighable troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of F. Hamilton Hazlehurst, longtime chair of the Vanderbilt University Art Department.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with normal surface wear. Five o'clock spoon with dents to bowl. Stainless knife blades with pitting, wear to edges.
