English Regency convex or bull's eye carved giltwood looking glass, crest with figural eagle on ball, primary round reeded frame with acanthus leaf molding and embellished with twenty small gilt spheres, narrow gilt tongue and bead molding and ebonized innermost reeded molding to convex looking glass. 32" H x 24" W x 3" D mirror. English, circa 1830. Provenace: Formerly of Maple Grove Estate, Knoxville, TN when a private residence, and published in Southern Accents magazine. CONDITION: Left wing of eagle loose. Scattered losses to gilt and repair to gilt, lower left front. One backboard of mirror loose but retained.
