With red, black, and leopard print velvet borders. Signed lower right hand corner. Mounted in a custom shadowbox frame with beige mat, under glass. Quilt: 35" H x 28 1/2" W. Frame: 47" H x 41" W. Circa 2000. Biography: Phyllis Stephens is an award-winning fifth-generation quilt maker known for her African-American Story Quilts. Stephens was raised in Connecticut and graduated from Boston University. Now living in Atlanta, she has quilted professionally for more than 30 years.
