French Louis XIV style giltwood round table with variegated marble top, the skirt with ribbon and egg gilt molding, applied cartouche and pierced scroll and leaf decoration. Cabriole legs embellished with applied floral and bead gilt decoration, cross stretcher adorned with carved compote of mixed fruits with shell supports, scroll feet ending in later casters. 22" H x 28" dia. French, late 19th century. Provenance: Private Bristol, TN collection. CONDITION: Possible modifications to cabriole feet with added casters. Some surface grime. Line cracks and scattered losses to gilt decoration. Some pieces available.
