Two (2) Old Paris Porcelain Perfume Bottles, manner of Jacob Petit (1796-1868), depicting 2 Scottish highlanders dressed in tartan costume and seated on naturalistic bases with game animals lying at their feet. Each wears a feather tam that functions as a removable stopper. Unmarked. Each 9 3/4" H x 5 1/2" W, 4 1/4" D. French, 19th Century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: One chip to base of male figure, approximately 1/4" dia. One repaired chip to skirt of female figure, approximately 1/2", and missing bow. Minor surface wear and paint loss.
