A table holding a vase of greenery seemingly unsupported by stems sits before a bright window. Signed “Kipniss” lower right. Merrill Chase Gallery label en verso. Pre-1982. Stretcher: 40″ H x 30″ W. Frame: 41″ H x 31″ W.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee Collection; ex-Merrill Chase Gallery, Chicago.
CONDITION: 2″ scratch upper left corner. 1/16″ flake upper center at top edge. A couple of scattered areas of fine craquelure. Small indention, some faint scratching, and stretcher marks to lower section of canvas. Some wear to canvas at exterior stretcher corners.
