Pair of tall Old Sheffield Plate single candlesticks with gadroon and engraved acanthus leaf decoration. Both stamped along the lower base edge with double sun mark attributed to Matthew Boulton. 13 3/4" H. Together with two (2) associated cut glass hurricane shades with scalloped rims and silver metal caps to base. 11 1/2" H. Shades and candlesticks all early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of James W. Perkins, Jr., Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Candlesticks are re-plated, sun hallmarks still visible, some light surface scratching. Hurricanes are not a fit for the candlesticks, one with chip to rim, otherwise overall good condition.
