German porcelain wall mirror, likely Dresden, with scrolled and raised floral and figural decoration including a female, possibly Aphrodite, holding a mirror, and two cherubs. Two candle arms protrude from the base, the whole mounted onto a wooden backing. 25" H x 15" W x 7" D. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Composed of four assembled pieces, the upper section adhered with old glue and lower section with screws. Some scattered chipping and restoration expected with age. Mirror with minor scattered desilvering. Loss to wood backing in upper right corner.
