Grouping of sixteen 19th and 20th century German maps. Five (5) 19th century maps include: Four German (4) folding maps with the original folders including German map "Plan der Umgebung von Ssewasstopol mit Angabe der Stellungen und Belagerungsarbeiten der verbu?ndeten Armeen" showing the 1854 battle positions for the Siege of Sevastopol, an 1839 Ottoman Empire map published by C. F. Weilan and the Weimar Verlag des Geographischen Instituts, German map of Central Europe dated 1856, an 1847 German military map of Prague and an 1866 German War Map detailing the Austro-Prussian border provinces and the adjoining territory part of the Kingdom of Saxony with special attention to the forts, river basins. The remaining eleven (11) maps date to the early 20th century and include World Maps and various European country maps. Date range includes 1839 to 1914. Condition: Overall very good condition with minor tears, separations at folds, some applied tape to folds and commensurate wear for age. One folding map incomplete but still attached to linen backer.
