Pair of two (2) French Louis XV style two-drawer side tables or commodes, with gilt-mounted variegated marble tops conforming to serpentine, parquetry veneered fronts and sides. Two dovetailed drawers with gilt metal Rococo style handles. Rounded corners over cross-banded veneered cabriole legs ending in gilt sabots. Each 26 1/2" H x 15 3/8" W x 11 1/2" D. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Scattered minor wear to veneer commensurate with age. One pull handle loose on drawer. One gilt sabot detached, but included along with one extra gilt sabot.
