Six (6) early frontier items, including one (1) punched tin lantern, cylindrical body with lines and dots pattern, cone top and ring handle (15 1/4" H x 5 1/2" dia.); one (1) pair of brown leather saddle bags, comprised of double bags and connecting yoke, one (1) bag retains buckles (34 1/2" L x 8" W x 3 1/2" D); one (1) brown leather carrier pouch with strap and small powder horn (pouch – 27" L x 7 3/8" W x 3 1/8" D, horn – 4 3/8" L); two (2) large powder horns, one (1) with old paper repair, fragments of leather or twine straps. (11 1/2" to 13 1/2" L); one (1) cast iron bullet mold (4 1/2" L). Provenance: The Estate of John Moran, Hyders Gap, VA. CONDITION: All items with wear, grime, to be expected from age and manner of use. Leather items are hard and cracked. Saddlebags buckles appear to have been cut off on one bag. Rust to lantern and bullet mold.
