Chinese turquoise glazed porcelain ginger jar with polychrome enamel foliate and insect decoration surmounted by a hardwood lid with pierced Shou symbol and raised on a pierced lotus form hardwood stand. Inscribed "China" to underside of lid and stand. 8 1/2" H x approx. 9" dia. Overall with lid and stand: 14" H. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: A Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with scattered minute surface scratches and flaws in the making. Minor losses to lower rim of lid.
