2 Caddo incised and engraved vessels. 1st item – Caddo Military Road incised jar. Consisting of triangular incised patterns with sine wave incised design around the rim. Label on bottom identifies piece as being dug by C. Thomas, Clark County, Arkansas in 1966. A second adhesive label on the bottom, "Military Road Incised 1200-1500 A.D. Beu Thompson 1967". 5" height x 4 1/2" width. 2nd item – Caddo engraved bowl with flaring rim. Engraved designs of semicircles and circles with alternating bands of cross-hatching. 4" height x 6" width. Property of an East Tennessee Educational Institution. Condition: 1st item – Overall very good condition with four old separations or hairlines running vertically from rim to midsection, possible small repair to inside rim edge. 2nd item – broken and glues, losses to edges where pieces glued, losses of pieces at base filled in with putty or epoxy, repair to underside with visible with epoxy/putty.
