Continental Rococo style .800 silver centerpiece or serving bowl having a deep oval boat-shaped body with figures of Venus and Cupid perched on one side. Rim decorated with C-scrolls, widely flared at one end, and the body decorated with stylized chased and repousse shells and flowers, all supported on leaf and vine feet. Marks for Kaser & Walter, Pforzheim, Germany, active early 20th century. 10" H x 17" L x 8 1/2" W. 57.28 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
