Confederate South Carolina Executor's Bill of Sale dated October, 1862, in the second year of the Independence of the Confederate States. Document records the sale of a female slave "Juno" and her four children "Scott, Eliza, Susan & James" to a Dr. George Prince from the estate of Rebecca Holmes in the state of South Carolina for a sum of two thousand six hundred and fifty dollars, by her executor Benjamin O. Gadson. Includes Mr. Gadson's red wax seal. Condition – Overall good condition with fold creases, some slight browning to paper upper left, wear to edges and one small hole to center right of document. 14" H x 8 1/2" W.
