Scrimshaw, "Brown Bess" style bayonet, Pair of U.S. model 1911 cavalry spurs, 3 items total. 1st item: 19th century scrimshaw carved whale tooth, depicting the profile of a woman wearing a headdress. Ink inscription to interior. 4 1/4" H x 2 1/4" W x 1 1/2" D. 2nd item: "Brown Bess" style socket bayonet with several proof marks to left side of ricasso, top of edge, and both sides of the elbow. Overall length – 28". 3rd item: Pair of Nickel plated U.S. model 1911 cavalry spurs, stamped "U.S. / A.B." for August Buermann. Buckles included, does not include leather straps. 5 3/8" H x 4 1/2" W x 7/8" D. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition with yellowing, age cracks, largest 2 1/4". 2nd item: Overall worn condition with pepper pitting, some rust. 3rd item: Some pitting, ink marks to spurs. Buckles secured to spurs with thin copper wire. Does not include leather straps.
