Middle Tennessee, Davidson County, corner cupboard, butternut primary and poplar secondary wood. Single case, mortise and tenon construction. Ogee cornice, straight-back side returns, paneled doors with inlaid kite shaped escutcheon enclosing three shelves above two lower paneled doors with inlaid kite escutcheon enclosing one interior shelf, plain skirt with shaped bracket feet. 85" H x 40" W x 21 1/2" D. Circa 1830. Provenance: the collection of Hank and Mary Brockman, Franklin, TN, descended in Mary Brockman's family. CONDITION: Older refinish. Original back foot with newer back foot bracket reinforcement. Patches to both corners of cornice.
