Half stock tiger maple percussion .36 caliber rifle with German silver engraved trigger guard, buttplate, nose cap, silver side escutcheons. Additional German silver engraved inlay of eagle on cheekpiece. Octagonal barrel marked in cursive script "L.K." Double set triggers and lockplate with hunting dog scene. Barrel length: 41 9/16", Overall length: 58 1/4". Circa 1840. Possibly Southern. Provenance: Gatlinburg, TN collection. Condition: Overall very good condition with oxidation and pitting to lockplate, tang mount with missing screw, some screws to mounts possibly replaced.
