1st item: Asian black lacquer stand with square top, cabriole legs with heavily carved and painted knees, and a square stretcher/undertier. Gilt highlights and polychrome decoration throughout including a flying phoenix to the top, landscape decoration to the sides, and foliate decoration to the stretcher. 30 1/4" H x 19" square (top). Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item: Small Rococo style giltwood looking glass bracket in the Chinese taste, the rectangular mirror plate surrounded by icicle branch and scrolling foliate and leaf decoration, with a small ledge just below the mirror. 37" H x 15" W. Early 20th Century. Acquired in June 1964 from Daniel Arts in Bristol, TN.
PROVENANCE: Property of a Tennessee Religious Institution.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition. Light wear along with some minor losses and abrasions to surface. 2nd item: Overall very good condition with some minor wear and staining to gilt paint. Glass has been replaced.
