Two (2) Meyer R. Wolfe (Tennessee/New York, 1897-1985) carved and painted wood "Totem" sculptures, both with Classical themes, including one three-columned totem, with two mounted heads and one three-columned totem with a torso. Both unsigned. 39 1/2" H x 9 3/4" W x 8 1/2"D and 42 5/8" H x 9 1/2" W x 8" D. Both circa 1972. Note: Both sculptures were exhibited several times in the 1970s, including at his 1979 retrospective.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Dr. Lawrence Wolfe, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both sculptures are all in very good condition with natural scattered wood shrinkage.
