Both depict images from Ancient Roman wall frescoes excavated in Herculaneum. Scale and publication information, lower left, center, and right, below the images. Both matted and housed under glass in matching giltwood frames. Plates approximately 13 1/4" H x 9 1/2" W. Sight dimensions: 14" H x 10" W. Frames: 21 1/4" H x 16 3/4" W. 3rd item: ST. PAULS PARISH SHADWELL, copperplate engraved map on laid paper from John Strype's edition of STOW'S SURVEY OF LONDON, published 1755. Housed and matted under glass in a giltwood frame. Sight: 7 3/8" H x 12 1/4" W. Framed: 12 1/2" H x 17 1/8" W. 4th item: NORTH WEST SUBURBS OF LONDON. THE PARISH OF ST. GILES IN THE FIELDS, LONDON hand-colored, copperplate engraved map, published by Boydell and Company, 1818. Housed and matted under glass in a giltwood frame. Sight: 8 1/4" H x 10 3/4" W. Framed: 14 1/4" H x 16 1/2" W. 5th-6th items: Two (2) English hand colored, copperplate engraved heraldic crests or coat of arms, including one (1) "Herbert, Earl of Powis," and one (1) "We[s]t, Baron De la War[sic]," both depicting the crests and mottos of noble families. Both housed and matted under glass in giltwood frame. Sights ranging in size from 3 1/4" H x 3 3/8" W to 10 3/4" H x 7 3/4" W. Framed: 12 1/2" H x 11 3/4" W to 20" H x 17" W.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of David B. Person, Holly Springs, Mississippi.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with toning, scattered minute foxing spots, slight waviness to paper. Not examined outside of frames. Frames with minor areas of loss to paint.
