Spencer Model 1860 carbine, .54 cal, serial# 32765, top of frame marked "Spencer Repeating Rifle Co., Boston, MA, Patd. March 6 1860", walnut stock and forearm, sling bar and ring, flip-up long range sight. 22" barrel. Overall Length: 93". Condition: Lacquer application over the metal frame and wood stock. Wooden stock with losses to forearm near barrel and losses and putty fill to rear stock near trigger guard and saddle ring. Grain of wood has lifted, having a rough texture. Metal frame and barrel appears to have light oxidation underneath lacquer, saddle ring has one side broken off and missing screw, underside screw for trigger guard missing.
