Pair of continental carved wood polychrome figural pricket candlesticks, or torchieres, winged angel forms holding shaped cornucopias supporting scalloped metal trays, standing on rounded bases and mounted to square panels. 17" H x 8" W x 4 1/2" D. Possibly North Italian, 18th Century.
PROVENANCE: Private Illinois Collection.
CONDITION: Some wax residue to the surface, paint restoration, scattered loss, and natural wood shrinkage, all cohesive with age.
