U.S. Model 1842 H. Aston Percussion Pistol .54 cal.,with swivel ramrod. Lockplate reads "MIDDtn CONN 1848" and "US H Aston". "JH" marking on left side of barrel breech. All brass mountings with walnut stock. 8.5" round barrel. Provenance: Gatlinburg, TN collection. Condition: Stock on opposite side of lockplate at the end of the brass barrel band extension with old crack separation. Pitting around breech area.
