Southern, possibly East Tennessee pieced and appliqued quilt, elaborate floral patch design, six floral motifs, each formed by large center blossom of cheddar yellow, red and white. Four smaller red and white flowers with blue leaves emanate from large blossom. Noncontinuous vine border of red and cheddar yellow flowers with blue leaves. Illegible writing at one inside corner. 104" x 84", Late 19th century. CONDITION: Border fraying. Two areas of light staining to back, 7" and 8" long.
