Weller Art Pottery scenic seascape vase decorated with multiple sailing boats, faint structures in the background, and a rocky shoreline, decorated by the artist Sarah Reid McLaughlin (1872-1939). Incised on the base WELLER POTTERY and signed on the lower body MCLAUGHLIN. 10 in. H. Circa 1920s.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Overall light craquelure. One narrow strip of fluorescence on the body appears to be due to an applied varnish, not restoration.
