Two (2) groupings of Russian Orthodox Christian traveling icons.1st item: A group of seven (7) metalwork icons, including one (1) large brass icon depicting the life of the Virgin Mary with light and dark blue enamel, one brass (1) crucifix, and five (5) smaller icons with enamel. Floated on a black fabric mat in a molded gilt frame with ornamentally painted corners. Icons range between 1 5/8" H x 1 5/8" W and 4 1/2" H x 3 1/8" W. Frame: 15 5/8" H x 19 5/8" W. 2nd item: A group of five (5) metalwork icons including one (1) large brass and enamel folding triptych, one (1) brass folding triptych, one (1) smaller brass folding triptych with enamel, (1) center section of a brass triptych, and one (1) icon with enamel. Floated on a black fabric mat in a molded gilt frame with ornamentally painted corners. Icons range between 2 3/8" H x 6 3/8" W and 2 3/8" H x 2 1/8" H x 2" W. Frame 15 5/8" H x 19 5/8" W. Late 19th/early 20th century.

CONDITION: Overall condition is good. Some wearing commensurate with age and significant enamel loss to several of the icons. Oxidation to the uppermost icon in group two.
