Two (2) French sculptures, including one (1) spelter figure of a wandering minstrel attired in robes, playing a medieval cittern, and standing on a base; and one (1) reproduction of the 4th-century B.C.E. Iberian stone sculpture "La Dama Elche" housed in the Museo Arqueologico Nacional, Madrid, Spain, rendered with plaster, signed "J. Rnozo M. Paris, 1908" on right back corner. Wandering Minstrel: 23" H x 9" W x 7" D. "La Dama Elche": 22 1/4" H x 18" W x 12" D. Both Late 19th/Early 20th Century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of a Tennessee institution.
CONDITION: Wandering minstrel in good condition with some scattered paint loss and oxidation to the instrument. "La Dama Elche" with surface scratching and some scattered areas of chipping.
