American vernacular Federal Pembroke table with original red stained surface. Walnut primary, white pine secondary. Top with rectangular drop leaves having rounded edges, over a skirt with dovetailed drawer and brass escutcheon, scratch beading to top and bottom of drawer edge, supported on four square tapered legs, ending in brass castors. 28" H x 38" W x 30-1/8" D. Circa 1800. Provenance: the estate of Helen B. Patterson, Gallatin, Tennessee. Condition: Scattered surface scratches, old glued break to corner of drawer.
