Chester Nicodemus (American/Ohio, 1901-1990) rare pair of ceramic Art Deco bookends depicting nude female figures seated on plinths. 7 1/2″H. Circa 1930. Note: Chester Nicodemus founded and produced his ceramics at the Nicodemus Ferro-Stone Ceramics in Clintonville, Ohio. Upon his death, his molds were destroyed. Nicodemus was also known for large scale bronze sculpture such as fountains.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville Collection.
CONDITION: Excellent condition.
