Three (3) Mexican folk art retablos painted on tin. 1st item: Painting depicting Saint Juan Diego holding the vision of Our Lady of Guadalupe on a cloth sheet surrounded by roses and set against a dark blue background. Early-mid 19th century. 2nd item: Painting depicting the Cross of Souls with the crucified Christ above and the souls in purgatory below. Early 20th century. 3rd item: Painting depicting Saint Isidore the Farmer kneeling in an agricultural landscape decorated with roses. With a small angel and an ox below, another large ox behind the saint, and a church in the background. Inscribed "S. Yisidro" on right side. Late 19th century. Sizes ranging from 13" H x 9 3/4" W to 14" H x 10" W.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of James Lewis, Carthage, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall heavy rust oxidation throughout. 2nd item: Overall good condition with light surface scratching and wear to corners. 3rd item: Light scattered rust oxidation throughout, commensurate with age.
