Dimunitive Federal bowfront Sheraton style sideboard, figured mahogany with white pine secondary wood. Bowfront top with molded front edge and round "cookie" corners, cut to conform with projecting reeded, column-form stiles having waterleaf carved capitals and ending in tall turned feet. Three top dovetailed drawers over a central cupboard section with two doors, flanked by tall wine drawers, over two lower drawers. Probably Mid-Atlantic, circa 1800. 41-1/2" H x 47" W x 22-1/2" D. Provenance: the estate of Helen B. Patterson, Gallatin, Tennessee. Condition: Refinished with replaced pulls. Some areas of replaced molding on drawer fronts and some molding missing (1" on bottom drawer, 2" on far right side of right hand bottle drawer, 1/2" on left top drawer). Some glue blocks missing. Some wear to top edge molding. Repaired crack or break to right front post/leg.
