Arnaldo Pomodoro (California/Italy, born 1926) etching on paper titled "'Una Battaglia: per in partigiani' 1971 (Studio)", numbered 51/60, depicting a plan for the artist's Una Battaglia (A Battle: For the Resistance Fighters) bronze and stainless steel sculpture located in the New Orlean Museum of Art, Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Additional English and Italian text describing inset images, in the plate, top and center right. Numbered, in pencil, below the plate, lower left, signed "Arnaldo Pomodoro" below the plate, lower right. Pencil inscription with artist's name, en verso. Unframed. Plate: 30 1/4" H x 22 1/8" W. Sheet: 43 3/4" H x 29" W.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Tears, largest 2", few creases, to edges of sheet (does not affect image). Pieces of white archival tape and tape residue across top edge of sheet, visible en verso.
