Four (4) Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vases having flaring rims, long necks with gilded bat shape handles, and tapering bodies with figural landscapes to one side and Chinese inscriptions, likely poems, to the other. Export wax seal remnants to the rims; two with Chinese seal forms in red to underside. All approximately 9" H x 4" dia. Late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Collection of Thomas M. Alexander, Greenville, TN, former U.S. Army Captain Airborne/Special Forces during the Late 1960s/Early 1970s in Vietnam. He became a Central Intelligence Agency Field Officer in Southeast Asia, beginning in the Early 1970s until his retirement in 1994.
