Oyster burl marquetry desk on stand with lightwood inlay borders, ogee cornice with frieze concealing a long convex drawer over a fall-front with hinged inset writing surface. Interior of desk with a row of pigeon holes over a central prospect drawer flanked by drawers, all with burl and lightwood inlays. Deep ogee waist molding over one large drawer, twist turned legs connected by a shaped stretcher and turned feet. Pine secondary. 58 1/2"H x 37 1/4"W x 19"D. Late 17th/Early 18th century. Condition: Veneer chipping, separations, and minor buckling throughout, old veneer patch to lower base drawer.
