Some traces of gilt retained. 8" H x 5-1/2" W. Late 19th/early 20th century. 3rd item: Metal gilt wall bracket with lion's head mask and rosettes on the side, fitted with a gilt wood and gesso top. 11-1/4" H x 9" W x 8" D. Late 19th/early 20th century. 4th & 5th items: Two Russian Eastern Orthodox icons including one large rectangular icon with tempura painted face and an embossed and chased silvered brass overlay depicting Saint Barbara holding a chalice and titled in Cyrillic "AGIA BAPBAPA" (15-7/8" H x 11-5/8" W), and a smaller painted and gilt gesso icon on wood depicting Madonna and Child (7-1/4" H x 6-3/8" W). 19th century/early 20th century. Condition: 1st: Scattered paint losses and heavy chipping to base. 2nd item: Interior hanger for one arm broken. Interior silk lining worn and frayed. Wear and grime to leather case. 3rd item: Losses to gilt and corner of top. 4th & 5th items: Larger icon with slight loss to paint and overall cracquelure. Smaller icon with losses to paint, especially to perimeter, corners and sides.
