Bacigalupo style Russian Street or Barrel Organ, marquetry inlaid rectangular case on bracket feet with brass mounts, the front screen painted with musical instruments and floral garlands flanked by two dancers. Manufacturers name inlaid in Cyrillic across front: Ivan Viktorovich Nechada, Balkovskaya Street 191, Odessa with metal medallions at each end. Interior has tune sheet listing 8 melodies and 25 notes, hand crank to exterior. 19" H x 20 3/4" W x 11 1/2" D (case, 17 3/4" including crank). Circa 1920. CONDITION: Veneer warping and small losses to rear exterior and rear right side, some scattered shrinkage, cracks and abrasions. Functionality not guaranteed or tested.
