Erte (Romain De Tirtoff, Russian/French, 1892-1990) color serigraph with gold and silver foil embossing on paper titled "Eyes of Love" from the artist's Mysteries Through the Eyes of a Mask Suite, numbered 223/300, published 1983. Depicts a solitary figure on a golden stage with parted gold and black curtains enveloped in a dramatic black cape with white, blue, and silver floral embellishments, two shapes in the form of eyes having cherubs and flowers against a blue background and outlined in gold situated on the middle of the cape against a red and gold patterend background. Numbered "233/300", in gold pencil, lower left in the image, signed "Erte", in gold pencil, lower right in the image. Housed and matted under plexiglass in a ebonzied wooden frame with a gilt trim. Sight: 24 1/4" H x 39 1/4" W. Framed: 34 3/4" H x 49 1/2" W.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Not examined outside of frame. Frame with minor abrasions.
