Four (4) Continental gilt bronze or brass decorative items. 1st item: Ormolu campana form urn with classical figures (possibly representing the Greek goddess Demeter) and wreaths to body, mounted on a square green onyx base with four bun feet. 9 7/8" H x 7 3/8" dia. Late 19th/early 20th century. 2nd item: Ormolu sculptural shell dish with figural dolphin feet and naturalistic pedestal, mounted on a black polished stone plinth base with gilt foliate edge. 5" H x 6 1/8" W x 4 1/4" D. Early 20th century. 3rd-4th items: Pair of two (2) gilt and patinated brass allegorical sculptural candleholders in the form of classical female figures upon circular plinth bases, including one (1) representing Faith grasping a cross and one (1) representing Hope grasping an anchor and rope. Both approximately 7" H x 4 1/2" W x 3 3/4" D. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private West Tennessee Collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Minor oxidation to interior commensurate with age. Onyx base with minute losses to underside, largest measuring 1/4" x 1/4"; natural fissures. 2nd item: Overall very good condition. 3rd-4th items: Scattered minor surface wear. One with bobeche slightly bent.
