Wedgwood or Wedgewood Fairyland lustre porcelain footed bowl with slightly flaring rim, designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones, decorated in the #Z4968 pattern. Black and green “Woodland Bridge” variation pattern exterior with polychrome colors and gilding, and a pearl lustre interior featuring mischievous sprites around a central pool, interspersed with trees and elves, with a foliage and spiderweb rim. Marked on the base WEDGWOOD ENGLAND together with the Wedgwood mark and Z4968 8, denoting the pattern number. 5 1/2 in. H x 8 3/4 in. W. Circa 1920s.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. James and Rebecca Whicker, Knoxville, TN.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with no chips or cracks to the porcelain noted under UV light inspection. Minor wear to interior decoration.
