Framed American oil on canvas portrait of an older African American gentleman with white hair and beard, seated and holding hat. Signed lower right "B. Baugh". Canvas appears to have been laid down on a masonite board. Pen inscription en verso reads " Sam Gadsen, Edisto Island, SC, Evelyn McPherson, 1963". Sight – 11 3/4" H x 8 3/8" W. Framed – 19" H x 15 1/2" W. 20th century. Condition: Canvas appears to have been laid down on a masonite board. Overall very good condition.
