1st item: Rosewood Regency tea chest or caddy in sarcophagus form with velvet-lined locking lid. The top and sides are embellished with an arabesque pattern of intaglio cut gilded brass, the sides are fitted with brass foliate handles with ring pulls, and knobby brass feet support the box. 9" H x 12" L x 6" D. 19th century. 2nd item: Black Forest carved inkwell depicting a figural carved mouse with inset glass eyes, poking it's head and front paws out from a boot. Hinged mounted and interior with glass inkwell. 3 1/2" H x 4" L. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Very good condition with minor repairs to a small portion of the rosewood veneer. The interior fittings are missing and the brass feet are replacements. 2nd item: Wear to animals ears, otherwise overall good condition.
