Vintage Persian Qashqai or Qashqai area rug, wool on linen, Tree of Life pattern, colors of navy, red, gold, ivory, green and black. Birds and berries motif in primary border. Black and ivory and red and green end borders. Customs tag stapled on back. 5'1" W x 7'8" L. c. 1935. Provenance: Collection purchased from K. A. Menendian Rug Gallery, Columbus, Ohio, 1920-1940, and descended in family of present owner. CONDITION: Scattered areas of low pile.
