A Meissen hand-painted polychrome and parcel gilt porcelain tea or coffee service for twenty-four, total of fifty-three (53) pieces, decorated with bountiful floral sprigs and various insects. Set includes twenty-four (24) teacups with twenty-four (24) saucers, one (1) coffeepot with floral bud finial, one (1) creamer, one (1) lidded sugar bowl, and one (1) bread and butter plate with basket weave molded rim. All with Meissen blue crossed swords mark and numbered blind stamp to undersides. Ranging in size from 2 1/2" H x 4 1/8" W x 3 3/8" D to 10 1/8" H x 7 5/8" W x approx. 5 3/4" D. German, late 19th/early 20th century.
CONDITION: One saucer with minute loss to rim measuring 1/8" x 1/4". Coffeepot with loss to one inner catch of lid.
