1st-4th items: Set of 4 Louis XV style fauteuils or armchairs with damask upholstery and green painted carved frames with gilt highlights crested with foliate spray, carved and partially upholstered arms, serpentine front rail, and carbriole legs with casters. 37" H x 24 1/2" W x 20" D. Early 20th century. <br/><br/>5th-6th items: Pair (2) Venetian tabourets or stools with inset cane seats having green painted carved frames with gilt-highlighted rocaille design, crossed stretchers, and scrolling feet. 17 3/4" H x 23 1/4" W x 18" D. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st-4th items: Overall good condition with scattered use wear and losses to paint. One chair does not rest evenly. Antiqued surface added at a later date and upholstery is new. 5th-6th items: Minor scattered wear to paint and minor shrinkage noted to both stretchers. Likely re-caned in the early 20th century.
