Large blue and white Delft tin-glazed apothecary or tobacco jar with foliate designs, lettered "Spaanse" within cobalt foliate border. Topped with a stepped brass lid. Jar 11 1/4" H, with lid 15 1/4" H. Holland, 18th century.

PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, TN collection.

CONDITION: Overall good condition with some scattered losses to glaze, mostly to the rim area. Oxidation to metal lid, 19th century or earlier.
